BUENOS AIRES, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Esteban Fernandez scored late as Gimnasia Mendoza salvaged a 2-2 home draw with Boca Juniors in Argentina's Clausura tournament on Saturday.
Kevin Zenon put Boca ahead in the 38th minute after Gimnasia's Ignacio Sabatini cancelled out Alan Velasco's opener.
Fernandez equalized in the 94th minute with a low first-time drive from 16 yards after a failed Boca clearance.
The result leaves Gimnasia with 16 points, five ahead of Boca Juniors in the 15-team Zone A standings.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Saturday, Aldosivi won 3-1 at home to Banfield, and Gimnasia La Plata edged to a 2-1 home win over Tigre. ■
