SINGAPORE -- Singapore and Laos signed an implementation agreement to collaborate on carbon credits under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement on Friday.

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's manufacturing sector weakened in the first half of 2026 as softer domestic and export demand weighed on business activity, production and capacity utilization, while sharply higher production costs added to operating pressures, a survey by the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM) showed on Thursday.

BANGKOK -- Thailand is upgrading Udon Thani Airport into a full international gateway ahead of a major horticultural exposition opening in November as part of the government's efforts to position the airport as a regional tourism and trading hub.
The airport has been designated one of 11 international airports nationwide by Thai civil aviation authorities and has received certification to operate scheduled and charter international flights, Deputy Transport Minister Phattrapong Phattraprasit said on Friday during an inspection visit.
