KHARTOUM -- At least 26 people were killed and dozens injured in two separate attacks in Sudan's South Kordofan State, multiple sources said on Friday.
The Sudan Doctors Network, a volunteer group, said in a statement that more than 21 people, including women and children, were killed and others injured on Thursday afternoon in an attack by forces of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), an ally of paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), on Debi and Luwairi, south and west of Kauda. WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that two U.S. envoys, Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, are traveling to Moscow and Kiev to seek chances to end the years-long Russia-Ukraine conflict.

KINSHASA -- The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its partners on Friday launched an updated 180-day multisectoral response plan to intensify efforts against the ongoing Ebola outbreak, with funding needs estimated at 1.3 billion U.S. dollars.
With support from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other partners, the plan was intended to serve as the operational roadmap for the response over the next six months. (DRC-Ebola)

BEIRUT -- Two young men were killed on Friday afternoon in an Israeli drone strike while they were riding a motorcycle in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, according to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA).
Ambulance teams transported the bodies to a local hospital, and firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out on the motorcycle, NNA said. (Lebanon-Israeli Strikes-Deaths) ■
