SYDNEY, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Five people have been hospitalized, including two with serious burns, after a forklift caught fire at a business in the eastern Australian city of Brisbane on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to the fire at a commercial facility in Brisbane's eastern suburbs around 11 a.m. local time on Friday.
Five people at the scene were transported to the hospital, including one with life-threatening burns to their head, face and chest, and another with serious burns to their arms.
The other three people were being treated for smoke inhalation and were in stable condition.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that firefighting crews were working to stop the flames from spreading to nearby shipping containers. ■
