TEHRAN -- Iran's Health Minister Mohammad-Reza Zafarghandi said on Wednesday that 18 people were killed and 108 others wounded in overnight strikes by the United States against the country, according to a statement published on the website of the Iranian president's office.
In a separate statement, Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned in the strongest terms the latest U.S. "acts of aggression" against the country, highlighting Iran's determination to "decisively" defend its independence, national sovereignty and territorial integrity. (Iran-US Strikes-Casualties)

KATHMANDU -- The death toll from the devastating mudslide in Nepal has risen to 1,204, with 4,216 people still missing as of 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
A total of 301 people have been injured, while 21,314 security personnel have been mobilized for search, rescue and relief operations, the authority said. (Nepal-Mudslide)
