NEW DELHI, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- A regional airline in India, FLY91, Thursday placed an order for 40 new ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft, valued at nearly 1 billion U.S. dollars.
This sets the stage for one of the most significant fleet expansions by a regional carrier in India, the airline said in a statement.
The order was signed between Goa-based FLY91 and European aircraft manufacturer ATR in New Delhi.
The order further strengthens ATR's presence in India, one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets. ■
