MIES, Switzerland, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- France moved ahead of Serbia to third in the latest FIBA men's World Ranking on Wednesday, with the United States and Germany retaining the top two positions.
Both sides had two wins last week during the fourth window of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers, but the results lifted France above Serbia, who dropped to fourth.
Türkiye climbed two places into the top 10 at ninth, while Brazil slipped out of the top 10 to 11th.
The biggest climbers overall were Kuwait, Malaysia and Hong Kong, China, each rising eight places after the 2029 FIBA Asian Cup pre-qualifiers, which also introduced three new teams to the rankings: Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives and Nepal. ■
