VLADIVOSTOK, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- China stands ready to work with Russia to follow through on the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and further expand practical cooperation in investment, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang said on Thursday.
Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks when co-chairing the 13th meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov in Russia's Far Eastern city of Vladivostok.
It is essential to strengthen planning and policy guidance, step up industrial alignment and project promotion, and jointly support the businesses from both countries in pursuing deeper and more substantive investment cooperation, Ding said.
China and Russia need to facilitate the implementation and effective operation of key projects, effectively leverage their exemplary role, and steadily expand the scale and enhance the level of investment cooperation between the two countries, he said.
He called on the two sides to broaden and deepen their cooperation, further consolidate collaboration in sectors such as manufacturing and infrastructure construction, and step up practical cooperation in more fields, including green industries and the digital economy.
He urged efforts to address prominent difficulties and problems, properly handle the practical concerns of enterprises on both sides, and jointly foster a more favorable business environment.
For his part, Manturov said that Russia stands ready to work with China, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, to give full play to the guiding and coordinating role of the Russia-China Investment Cooperation Committee.
He added that Russia will take measures to address the concerns of Chinese enterprises, provide convenient and predictable conditions for their investment and business operations in Russia, and at the same time steadily advance the implementation of key projects so that the outcomes of cooperation can better benefit both two countries and their peoples. ■
