RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chilean midfielder Erick Pulgar has committed to a new long-term contract with Flamengo, the Brazilian club said on Wednesday.
Pulgar, whose previous deal had been due to expire next year, signed an agreement that runs until December 2029.
"I am very happy. This is what my family and I wanted," Pulgar told Flamengo's official website. "I've worked hard to get to where I have today, and I'm grateful to everyone, especially the fans."
Pulgar, 32, has made 165 appearances for Flamengo across all competitions since his 2022 move from Fiorentina.
He has been capped 54 times for Chile in an international career spanning more than a decade. ■
