ACCRA, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- At least 13 persons were killed and five others critically injured in a road crash in Ghana's Greater Accra Region early Wednesday, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed.
The accident occurred at Sege Ada, about 80 km east of the capital, Accra, when two minivans traveling in opposite directions collided head-on.
The dead and the five survivors were all passengers in the two vehicles, according to the GNFS. The injured were transported to a clinic for treatment.
The GNFS said it would provide a full update on the crash, including details on where the bodies of the deceased have been taken. ■
