BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- China's meteorological authorities have been providing Nepal with weather monitoring, forecasting, early warning and impact services since a severe mudslide struck the Gyirong-Rasuwa border crossing between China and Nepal, an official said on Wednesday.
Wang Yawei, a spokesperson for the China Meteorological Administration, said at a press conference that the administration held video weather consultations with Nepal's meteorological department immediately after the disaster, and has actively provided meteorological support for Nepal's rescue and relief operations.
The meteorological authorities will go all out to ensure comprehensive meteorological services and strengthen international cooperation with Nepal to provide support for Nepal's emergency response and disaster management, Wang added. ■
