CAIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi voiced concern over Israel's dangerous escalation in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, said a joint statement on Wednesday.
In the statement, the two heads of state also stressed the need to uphold the integrity of the Palestinian territories, support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, and ensure that its mandate is not undermined.
During Xi's state visit to Egypt, the two countries released the joint statement on further deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership. ■
