TEHRAN, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said Wednesday that two oil tankers caught fire after hitting naval mines when passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC said in a statement that the tankers attempting to "transit via an illegal route" struck mines and exploded in the strait, noting that they were "currently on fire." ■
