COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka's Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption arrested former government minister Ravi Karunanayake on Monday after questioning him in connection with an ongoing investigation.

SYDNEY -- Delaying the age at which children first use social media may help protect adolescent mental health, new research from Australia's University of New South Wales (UNSW) suggests.
The study found that those who began using social media at a younger age reported more symptoms of anxiety and depression. Simply having a social media account showed a weaker relationship with those symptoms, according to a UNSW statement released Monday. (Australia-Social Media-Health)

TOKYO -- A large fire broke out Monday afternoon in a shopping district in the city of Ise, central Japan, and is believed to have spread to multiple buildings near the Ise Jingu shrine, Kyodo News reported.
