KATHMANDU -- A total of 626 bodies had been recovered from mudslide-hit areas in Nepal as of 10:00 a.m. local time on Saturday, according to the disaster authority.

JERUSALEM -- Israel carried out an airstrike on part of the Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital compound in the central Gaza Strip on Saturday, saying it targeted a Hamas commander who was planning attacks.

TEHRAN -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Friday that Iran will negotiate with the United States, but remains wary of Washington, stressing that Tehran will honor its commitments only if the other side does the same.

HARARE -- Zimbabwe police on Saturday confirmed the deaths of 27 people in a road accident near the town of Chivhu on Friday night.
Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi said in a statement that the accident occurred about 132 km from the capital, Harare, along Masvingo Road and involved a commuter omnibus and a haulage truck. (Zimbabwe-Accident) ■
