GAZA, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Three Palestinians from the same family were killed on Friday in an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources said.
Eyewitnesses said an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of farmers who were working in the town of al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis.
Local sources said the three victims, all members of the Abdeen family, were aged between 28 and 42. Several other Palestinians were injured, the sources added.
The Israeli military has not yet commented on the incident.
According to Gaza's health authorities, 1,303 Palestinians have been killed and 4,336 others injured in the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect in October 2025.
The overall death toll in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,438, with 174,447 others injured, according to the authorities. ■
