BERLIN, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed in a violent incident at a school in Gosen-Neu Zittau in the eastern German state of Brandenburg on Thursday, and a male suspect has been detained, German media reported.
According to the local newspaper Maerkische Allgemeine Zeitung (MAZ), one of the victims is an 18-year-old secondary school student, while the other is believed to be a 30-year-old man who died trying to stop the perpetrator.
The suspected perpetrator is reportedly 19 years old and is believed to be the former boyfriend of the 18-year-old victim. It remains unclear whether he is also a student at the school. ■
