QUITO, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Ecuador's Independiente del Valle advanced to the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals with a 3-1 home win over Colombian side Tolima on Tuesday.
Daykol Romero, Carlos Gonzalez and Matias Perello scored second-half goals for the hosts while Junior Hernandez pulled a late one back for the visitors in their round of 16 second leg clash.
The result gave Independiente del Valle a 4-1 win on aggregate.
Joaquin Papa's side will meet reigning champion Flamengo in the quarterfinals over two legs next month.
The remaining quarterfinal matchups feature Estudiantes against Corinthians, Fluminense versus Platense and Palmeiras against LDU Quito. ■
