BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met with the Head of the Uzbek Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva in Beijing on Wednesday.
Zhao noted that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the strategic mutual trust between China and Uzbekistan has been further consolidated, practical cooperation has achieved fruitful results, and bilateral relations have been elevated to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for the new era.
China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, consolidate political mutual trust, deepen all-round mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly build a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future that is more substantial and dynamic, Zhao added.
The NPC of China is willing to enhance friendly exchanges with the legislative bodies of Uzbekistan, deepen exchanges of experience in legislation and supervision, and contribute to the development and rejuvenation of each country, he said.
Mirziyoyeva congratulated the Communist Party of China on its 105th anniversary, saying that Uzbekistan adheres to the one-China principle, supports the four global initiatives proposed by China, and looks forward to strengthening friendly exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries and deepening cooperation in areas including economy, transportation, education and counter-terrorism. ■
