BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chen Wu, a senior Chinese national political advisor, died of illness on Monday in Beijing at the age of 72.
Chen, vice chairman of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, was extolled in an official obituary as an excellent Party member, a loyal communist soldier, and an outstanding leader in ethnic affairs and economic construction. ■
