TEHRAN -- Iran's top security official Mohsen Rezaei warned Saturday that any country participating in the U.S. economic war against Iran will be considered an "enemy" by Tehran.

ISTANBUL -- One sailor was killed and eight others were injured after a commercial vessel operated by a Turkish shipping company came under attack off Russia's Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, local media reported Saturday.
The ship, named Ural and owned by Kalyoncu Denizcilik, was attacked around midnight off Novorossiysk, according to the private Ihlas News Agency. (Türkiye-Black Sea-Attack)

JERUSALEM/DAMASCUS -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Saturday that it fired toward a militant who was in the final stages of preparing an attack in southern Syria.
In a statement, the IDF claimed that the militant's activity posed an immediate threat to Israeli soldiers, adding that it would continue to operate to remove threats to its soldiers and Israeli civilians. (Israel-Syria-Strike)

TEHRAN -- An Iranian military commander said Saturday that Iran's three pilots believed to have been held captive by Qatar since March are "severely wounded and ill."
In a statement published on the committee's website, Commander of the Missing Persons Search Committee of the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Mohammad Bagherzadeh stressed that the pilots are being held offshore and called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to transfer them to Iran by air ambulance.
