BEIRUT, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- The cumulative death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since Oct. 8, 2023, has risen to 8,915, with 30,543 others injured, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said Friday.
Since March 2, 2026, the attacks have killed 4,348 people and injured 12,307 others, according to the ministry.
Meanwhile, Israeli attacks continued in southern Lebanon on Friday, mainly targeting the Bint Jbeil District and the Nabatieh District, reported the Lebanese National News Agency.
The developments came after Israel and Lebanon held the seventh round of negotiations in Rome earlier this month to advance security arrangements along their border and implement a framework agreement reached in Washington in late June, according to local media. ■
