World Humanitarian Day was marked this week, drawing renewed attention to the plight of millions displaced by conflict and crisis.
During a recent interview, a UNHCR official told Xinhua that roughly 40 million people worldwide are now refugees, and climate change is leaving them increasingly vulnerable.
Yet UNHCR has received only 32% of the funding it needs to support those in desperate need.
