BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted central Peru at 1800 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 14.74 degrees south latitude and 73.89 degrees west longitude. ■
