BEIRUT, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon received new humanitarian and medical aid shipments from Jordan and Türkiye on Wednesday, the Lebanese official National News Agency (NNA) reported.
A 24-truck Jordanian convoy carrying medicines, hygiene supplies, baby formula and other relief materials arrived at the Masnaa border crossing. It marked Jordan's 12th aid shipment to Lebanon.
Separately, Türkiye delivered a shipment of medicines to Lebanon, which was received at the Port of Beirut, in the presence of Turkish official Tolga Budak, according to NNA.
Budak said Türkiye was providing 40 shipments of medicines to Lebanon and described the assistance as a continuation of Ankara's solidarity with the country. He said previous Turkish aid had included 7,200 tents, more than 10,000 food parcels, 28,000 blankets and 1,000 hygiene kits. ■
