BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Lautaro Millan scored twice as Independiente secured a 3-1 away win over Lanus in Argentina's Clausura tournament on Monday.
Millan scored either side of halftime before Allan Wlk combined with Ramiro Carrera to pull a goal back on the counterattack.
Maximiliano Gutierrez put the result beyond doubt with a clinical finish in the 94th minute as Independiente clinched its third win of the campaign.
The result leaves Independiente third in Zone A with nine points, three behind leader Instituto Cordoba. Lanus is ninth with six points so far.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Monday, Atletico Tucuman won 1-0 at Estudiantes Rio Cuarto, Defensa y Justicia drew 1-1 at Velez Sarsfield and Gimnasia Mendoza won 3-1 at home to Talleres. ■
