RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Substitute German Cano scored in stoppage time as Fluminense edged to a 3-2 home win over leader Palmeiras in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday.
Gustavo Gomez and Mauricio scored either side of Hulk's 42nd-minute strike as Palmeiras looked on course to secure its 15th win of the campaign.
But Colombian forward Kevin Serna pulled a goal back in the 85th minute before Cano, a 69th-minute replacement for Hulk, completed the comeback by heading home seven minutes later.
"We played like warriors that fight until the end," Cano told reporters after the match. "That's the reason we were able to get back into the match and get such an important victory."
Fluminense remains fourth in the 20-team standings with 38 points, 10 behind Palmeiras.
Elsewhere in Brazil's top flight on Saturday, Sao Paulo was held to a 1-1 home draw by Coritiba, and Bragantino drew 1-1 at Athletico Paranaense. ■
