BEIJING, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of the Republic of Ecuador Daniel Roy-Gilchrist Noboa Azín will pay a state visit to China from Aug. 16 to 23.
Noboa was born on Nov. 30, 1987. He served as a member of the National Assembly of Ecuador from May 2021 to May 2023.
Noboa first ran for president in October 2023 and won the election, assuming office in November that year. He was re-elected as president in April 2025 and was sworn in on May 24, 2025. ■
