RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Ecuadorian forward Michael Estrada scored a late equalizer as LDU Quito salvaged a 1-1 draw at Mirassol in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores round of 16 duel on Thursday.
Mirassol's Carlos Eduardo capitalized on an errant clearance to lash a 15-yard shot into the bottom-right corner.
LDU Quito probed for a late equalizer and was rewarded in the 82nd minute when Estrada bundled a close-range finish past goalkeeper Walter.
The decisive second leg will be played in Ecuadorian capital Quito next Thursday.
In Thursday's only other Copa Libertadores fixture, Rosario Central was held to a goalless home draw by Corinthians. ■
