FUZHOU, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Twelve people were injured after a vessel caught fire at a shipyard in east China's Fujian Province on Thursday, local authorities said.
The fire broke out at around 1:09 p.m. at Century Huahai (Fujian) Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. in Gantang Township of Fu'an City.
The fire has been brought under control. Preliminary figures showed that 12 people were injured and have been taken to hospital.
Local emergency response and health authorities have arrived at the scene to handle the incident. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. ■
