BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- China will continue to impose anti-dumping duties on imports of single-mode optical fiber originating from India for five more years starting Aug. 14, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
This decision was made following a review of the anti-dumping measures, which was initiated in August 2025 at the request of China's domestic industry, the ministry said in a statement.
If the anti-dumping measures were terminated, the dumping of single-mode optical fiber from India would likely continue or recur, potentially causing ongoing or renewed harm to China's domestic industry, according to the ministry's expiry review investigation.
Under the extended measures, anti-dumping duties on the imported products range from 7.4 percent to 30.6 percent.
China imposed anti-dumping duties on single-mode optical fiber imports from India in 2014 and extended these duties for another five years in 2020.
Single-mode optical fiber is mainly used in high-speed, long-distance and access network transmission, and is widely applied in long-haul trunk lines, metropolitan area networks, cable television and fiber-optic access networks. ■
