KABUL, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Construction of several industrial projects worth 10 million U.S. dollars has begun in Afghanistan's eastern Panjshir province, local media Tolo news reported Thursday.
The projects include plans to establish factories producing drinking water, serum and non-alcoholic beverages, according to the report.
Officials said the local administration would support the private sector and urged traders to take advantage of available investment opportunities in the province.
The projects are expected to contribute to economic development and create employment opportunities in Panjshir. ■
