BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted 69 km SSW of Chirilagua, El Salvador at 0030 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 56.8 km, was initially determined to be at 12.61 degrees north latitude and 88.29 degrees west longitude. ■
