DAMASCUS, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli military patrol advanced into the Abu Qbeis Hill area in the countryside of Syria's southwestern Quneitra province on Monday, Syrian state media reported.
The patrol consisted of two tanks and several military vehicles carrying soldiers, state-run Al-Ikhbariya TV reported.
The latest incursion came a day after an Israeli force entered the village of Eastern Samadaniyah in Quneitra with two tanks and several military vehicles carrying soldiers, according to the report.
Following Sunday's incursion, Israeli forces conducted sweeping operations in the village's agricultural areas, during which gunfire was heard and searches were carried out, the report said.
Syria has repeatedly accused Israel of violating the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria, raids, detentions, land-clearing operations and shelling. ■
