KABUL, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and four others injured in two separate traffic accidents in Afghanistan's northern Samangan province on Sunday evening, the official Bakhtar news agency reported Monday.
In the first accident, a car collided with a cargo truck in Aybak city, the provincial capital, leaving one person dead and four others injured, according to the report.
In a separate accident in Khulm district, a car hit a six-year-old child who died at the scene.
Provincial authorities attributed the accidents to reckless driving, according to the report. ■
