PHNOM PENH, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia exported products worth 20.81 billion U.S. dollars in the first seven months of 2026, up 21.3 percent from 17.16 billion dollars over the same period last year, an official report from the General Department of Customs and Excise showed on Monday.
The top five export destinations for the Southeast Asian country are the United States, Vietnam, China, Japan, and Canada, the report added.
The Kingdom's main export products are garments, textiles, footwear, travel goods, bicycles, car tires, and potential agricultural produce such as rice, rubber, cassava, cashew nuts, bananas, mangoes, and longans, according to the report.
Ministry of Commerce's Secretary of State and spokesperson Penn Sovicheat attributed the export growth to the country's bilateral and regional free trade agreements, integrating the country into the regional supply chains.
"The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement and other bilateral trade arrangements have provided preferential tariffs that expand market access for Cambodian products," he said.
Meanwhile, the country imported 23.25 billion dollars worth of goods during the same period, up 21.4 percent year-on-year, the report said.
Major imported goods included oil and gas, raw materials for garments, footwear and travel goods, vehicles, machinery, electronic appliances, and consumer products, among others, it added. ■
