RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Ignacio Oliveira scored a second-half equalizer as Fluminense salvaged a 1-1 draw at Botafogo in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday.
Former Manchester United defender Alex Telles put the host ahead just before halftime by curling a 25-yard free-kick into the top-left corner.
The visitor drew level in the 58th minute when Ignacio's header rebounded in off the post following Kevin Serna's cross.
The result left Botafogo seventh in the 20-team standings with 30 points, five behind fourth-placed Fluminense.
Elsewhere in Brazil's top flight on Saturday, Gremio edged to a 2-1 home win over Sao Paulo, Remo drew 2-2 at home to Atletico Mineiro and Coritiba prevailed 2-1 at home to Chapecoense. ■
