BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The 22nd round of the 2026 Chinese Super League (CSL) concluded on Sunday, with leader Chengdu Rongcheng suffering a 1-0 away defeat to Yunnan Yukun to extend its winless run to six matches.
Chengdu remains 13 points clear of second-placed Qingdao West Coast and Dalian Yingbo, who are level on points, while Yunnan climbed to fourth after securing a valuable home victory.
Chengdu, which had drawn five consecutive league matches before the game, struggled to find its rhythm in the high-altitude away fixture. Wellington Silva's first-half header was ruled out for offside before Yunnan broke the deadlock shortly after the restart.
In the 48th minute, Alexandru Ionita delivered a corner into the box and Oscar Maritu rose highest to head home the winner. Chengdu pushed for an equalizer but failed to create enough clear chances, with substitute Baihelamu heading over the crossbar in stoppage time.
Dalian Yingbo won the Liaoning derby 1-0 against Liaoning Tieren in front of 62,075 spectators. Nicolae Stanciu scored the winner with a long-range effort in the 15th minute, while Dalian had two further goals ruled out for offside.
Shandong Taishan completed a late comeback at home against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger. Xadas put the visitors ahead in the 79th minute after receiving an assist from Alberto Quiles. Liu Yang equalized with a header from a corner in the 84th minute before Cryzan scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner following a solo run from midfield to seal a 2-1 victory.
Defending champion Shanghai Port claimed a 3-2 away win over Chongqing Tonglianglong in a five-goal thriller.
Chongqing took the lead in the 19th minute when Xiang Yuwang converted a penalty. Leo Souza equalized for Shanghai Port in the 29th minute before Wei Zhen's penalty in the 39th minute put the visitors ahead.
Michael Ngadeu headed in from a corner just before halftime to restore parity, but Leo Souza struck again in the 51st minute after receiving Yue Xin's cross, completing his brace and securing three points for Shanghai Port.
Elsewhere, Beijing Guoan defeated Shenzhen Peng City 4-0, with Dawhan scoring twice and Zhang Yuning and Fabio Abreu each adding a goal. Shanghai Shenhua edged Qingdao Hainiu 1-0, while Qingdao West Coast played out a goalless draw with Henan FC. ■
