TEHRAN, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- At least one person was killed and five others were injured after a fire broke out at a production unit in an industrial park southwest of Iran's capital Tehran on Sunday, the official news agency IRNA reported.
The fire erupted at the Nasirabad industrial park in Robat Karim County at 7:20 a.m. local time (0350 GMT), after which two ambulances and an ambulance bus were dispatched to the scene, IRNA quoted Shervin Tabrizi, spokesman for Tehran's emergency medical services, as saying.
Mohammad Shokri, head of southwestern Tehran's emergency medical services, said four of the injured people were taken to a nearby hospital, while another received medical treatment at the scene, the report said.
It added that the affected unit was involved in the production of lighters and lighter fluid. ■
