Addressing nearly 1,000 students and teachers at the National Defense University during the second Angkor-Great Wall Forum in Phnom Penh, Path Kosal, secretary of state at the Office of the Council of Ministers, described the two countries as true and reliable friends whose partnership is rooted in history. ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on Friday signed a joint defense agreement in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to deepen cooperation among the three regional powers amid rising regional security concerns, according to Pakistan's Foreign Ministry.
The agreement aims to strengthen collective deterrence against any act of aggression, under which an armed attack against any one of the three states shall be regarded as an attack against all, the ministry said in a statement. (Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Türkiye-Defense Pact)

SYDNEY -- A reported shortage of air service staff caused widespread flight delays and some cancellations at Sydney Airport on Friday.

BANGKOK -- Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Friday afternoon that eight people were confirmed dead, including the gunman and his grandparents, and over 30 people were injured, with nine in critical condition, as a gunman opened fire at a school and home in Nonthaburi province earlier the day.
