MOSCOW, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and six others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Moscow oblast on Tuesday morning, regional governor Andrei Vorobyov said on his Max channel.
"Unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries. According to preliminary information, five people have died and six others have been wounded. All the injured are receiving necessary medical care. I express my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims," Vorobyov said.
According to the governor, the hardest-hit area was the Chekhov municipal district, where an electrical substation, an administrative building, and several facilities in the Novoselok industrial zone were damaged.
He added that drone debris damaged a private house and a car in the village of Solnyshkovo, but no casualties were reported. ■
