TOKYO, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- An All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight from Shanghai made an evasive maneuver on Tuesday morning during its approach to Tokyo's Haneda airport, local media reported.
ANA Flight 968's collision avoidance system was activated as the plane with 197 people on board neared the airport in Tokyo, Kyodo News reported.
The pilot followed the system's instruction and climbed to avoid another aircraft at around 6 a.m. local time, the report said.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism said its inspection aircraft, which had taken off from Runway D, was flying nearby about to check radio, light and other facilities of the airport.
The details were being investigated, said the ministry.
None of the 197 passengers and crew were injured and no problems were found with the aircraft, according to ANA. ■
