ALMATY, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's national atomic company Kazatomprom increased uranium production by 9 percent in the first half of 2026 from a year earlier to 13,291 metric tons, the company said on Monday.
Uranium production on an attributable basis, reflecting the company's ownership stakes in its mining operations, rose 10 percent year on year to 7,054 tons, the company said.
Sales of uranium by Kazatomprom and its subsidiaries declined 1 percent year on year to 7,586 tons, while the average realized price of uranium concentrate increased 16 percent to 67.88 U.S. dollars per pound, it added. ■
