ANKARA, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Türkiye's annual merchandise exports reached 278.6 billion U.S. dollars as of July, while exports for the month rose to 25.6 billion dollars, the highest level ever recorded for July, Trade Minister Omer Bolat said on X on Monday.
July exports rose by 2.9 percent year-on-year. On an annualized basis, merchandise exports reached a record 278.6 billion dollars, while services exports were estimated at 122.6 billion dollars, bringing total annual exports of goods and services to a record 401.2 billion dollars, the data shows.
Imports increased 5.2 percent year-on-year to 33.0 billion dollars in July, resulting in a foreign trade deficit of 7.4 billion dollars, up 14 percent from a year earlier.
During the first seven months of 2026, exports rose 3.4 percent year-on-year to 161.6 billion dollars, while imports rose 4.7 percent to 222.1 billion dollars, bringing the trade deficit to 60.5 billion dollars, an increase of 8.2 percent from the same period last year. ■
