BEIRUT, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Five Lebanese soldiers and two civilians were injured on Sunday in an Israeli attack on the village of Kafra, Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese army and the state-run National News Agency (NNA).
The Lebanese army's Directorate of Guidance said in a statement that five soldiers sustained minor injuries in the attack.
The NNA reported that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on a civilian vehicle being escorted by an army vehicle, injuring two civilians.
Separately, the NNA reported that Israeli forces fired three Merkava tank shells and machine-gun fire toward the town of Haddatha in Bint Jbeil, detonated a position in the town of Taybeh in the Marjeyoun district, and threw a stun grenade at an abandoned house in the town of Mansouri earlier on Sunday.
The attacks came despite a framework agreement reached recently between Lebanon and Israel aimed at ending border hostilities. ■
