UNITED NATIONS, July 31 (Xinhua) -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Friday that the newly announced Gaza disarmament roadmap must be followed.
"It was announced already that there is a roadmap to implement these objectives," said Guterres, referring to U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement on Thursday that a "historic agreement" had been reached on the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza, with the process to be carried out in structured phases.
"That roadmap must be followed without any questions, skepticism, or determination to undermine it. Now is the time for both sides to implement what was agreed," Guterres told reporters. ■
