BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Kermadec Islands region at 1748 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 31.82 degrees south latitude and 177.88 degrees west longitude. ■
