ISLAMABAD, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's security forces killed four terrorists and destroyed two explosives-laden vehicles during an intelligence-based operation in the country's southwestern Balochistan province on Thursday, the military said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, the operation was carried out in Khuzdar district of the province following intelligence reports on the presence of militants.
During the operation, security forces intercepted the movement of two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices, the ISPR statement said.
The forces destroyed both vehicles and killed four terrorists, said ISPR, adding that sanitization operations were continuing in the area to clear any remaining militants.
It added that Pakistan's security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue counterterrorism operations to combat terrorism across the country. ■
