BUENOS AIRES, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Alex Arce and Jose Florentin scored first-half goals as Independiente Rivadavia secured a 2-1 home win over Huracan in Argentina's Clausura tournament on Thursday.
Arce and Florentin gave the hosts a 2-0 lead at halftime before Oscar Cortes pulled a goal back in the 47th minute.
Huracan was reduced to 10 men in the 90th minute after Leandro Lescano was shown a straight red card for a bad challenge on Ivan Villalba.
The result leaves Independiente Rivadavia fourth in the 15-team Group B, a point ahead of eighth-placed Huracan.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Thursday, Velez Sarsfield won 3-1 at Talleres, Independiente edged to a 1-0 home win over Newell's Old Boys, and Atletico Tucuman prevailed 2-0 at Central Cordoba. ■
