SAN FRANCISCO, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Microsoft on Wednesday reported revenue of 90 billion U.S. dollars for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 ending June 30, up 18 percent from the same period a year earlier.
The company posted quarterly net income of 35.8 billion dollars, an increase of 31 percent year over year on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) basis. Diluted earnings per share rose 32 percent to 4.81 dollars.
Microsoft's operating income increased 18 percent year over year to 40.6 billion dollars.
Excluding the impact of investments in OpenAI, quarterly net income was 35.3 billion dollars, up 22 percent, while diluted earnings per share increased 23 percent to 4.74 dollars.
For the full fiscal year 2026, Microsoft reported revenue of 331.8 billion dollars, up 18 percent from the previous fiscal year. Its GAAP operating income rose 21 percent to 155.2 billion dollars, while GAAP net income increased 31 percent to 133.7 billion dollars.
"We are advancing the frontier on the cost-to-outcome curve, ensuring every customer can turn tokens into business results," said Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft.
"This year, Azure revenue surpassed 100 billion dollars for the first time, and Microsoft 365 Copilot reached over 30 million paid seats, reflecting the confidence customers are placing in us to power their AI transformation," Nadella said. ■
